Camberwell Arts Open Studios Summer 2017

This summer Orso Major acted as producer for Camberwell Arts Open Studios and we met some amazing people who are producing their art in tucked away studios, under railway arches, in disused workshops and several working from their homes. Below you can see a selection of the work that we discovered. It was so good in fact, that FAD website marked it as one of the best things to do that weekend.

Paul Draper produces detailed drawings which he turns into prints. Paul is based at Empress Mews.

Richard Phoenix paints portraits without wearing his usual glasses and paints with his ‘true sight’ which creates a loosely handled portrait of his sitter. He works from Vanguard Studios.

Duncan McAfee is a collage artist whose work references the tensions in society today. Below is his 12 Apostles series. He is based at Warrior Studios in Loughborough Junction.

Jody Kingzett works from his home studio in Camberwell and produces abstract photography with a beautiful colour palette.

Camberwell Arts Open Studios Summer edition was over the weekend of 17-18 June 2017.
